HERO CHARACTER INTERVIEW

How did you first meet your writer?  She caught me posing as a homeless kid at a shelter up in Lincoln Park when she was writing False Start (the first book in her Assignment: Romance series). She ended up giving me a pretty substantial role in that story.

Did you ever think that your life would end up being in a book? No!  I had no idea, although, like I said, I was surprised by how much I appeared in her first book, so I probably shouldn’t have been surprised when she gave me a book of my own.

What are your favorite scenes in your book: the action, the dialog or the romance? Aw, that’s a tough one. I mean, I love the skydiving scenes, but those pale in comparison to the first couple of days I got to spend with Aubrey.

 

Did you have a hard time convincing your author to write any particular scenes for you? Oh yeah…the hammock? Totally my idea, but I know she didn’t feel good writing it until she check with a trusted beta reader.

 

What do you like to do when you are not being actively read somewhere? Read, run, jump out of airplanes, count the stars with Aubrey.

Are you happy with the genre your writer has placed you in? Absolutely. I don’t take myself seriously enough to pull off suspense and…although, come to think of it, I’d be willing to do the whole kilt thing if she decided to try a Highlander historical.

Do you like the way the book ended? Well, if you ask me, it ended way too soon, but she’s assured me that she’ll pick up where she left off in a future book, so…

What is your least favorite characteristic your writer has attributed to you? Procrastination, but she assured me it was only a way for her to build up the suspense a bit.

What do you do for a living? As far as Aubrey knows, I’m a window washer and work part-time in a running shoe store.

What is your greatest fear? Aubrey finding out who I really am before I can get her to fall in love with me.

What embarrasses you? Probably the fact that I live with my grandmother.

What is something no one knows about you?  Why do you keep it a secret?  And what would happen if everyone found out about it? My true identity. I keep it a secret because I am hell-bent on finding someone to love me for me. If anyone finds out before that happens, I’ll never really be sure if I’ve found true love.

What do you find most appealing in men/women? Courage to live life to the fullest.

What do you find most unappealing in men/women?  Fear

What do you like most about where you live? My building’s roof deck is amazing and I usually have it all to myself.

What would you not like to do? Sit behind a desk, working 80 hours a week.
